  Do You Think That Animals Truly Understand Human Language?

  pet owners, do you think that your cat or dog or goldfish really understands you?.

  Most communication is non verbal up to 93%.

  I think some animals deffinitely understand the non verbal part of communication.

  My dog understands do you want to go for a walk?

  Do you want a treat?

  Lets go to bed.

  how is it that some fade out of the org and others seem to be pushed?

  i cant figure out how some persons like my husband and son, simply got too 'busy' and gradually stopped going to meetings, and were totally left alone, and yet some persons.

  seem to indicate that people were constantly in persuit of them, for a way to disfellowship them.. the ones who fade never get 'disfellowshiped' unless they write a letter formally requesting thier name be of the membership.. just like the jw org tells people who get baptised to do to thier former church,.

  i havent been to a meeting in a few months however it is also under a 'remodel' im sure im not missed.

  I stopped going in 83.

  I didn't answer the phone or the door.

  Today, I can associate with my witness family/in laws with no ramifications.

  I don't really like to. But it makes my wife happy who also faded, 20 years ago.

  i like so many americans left my parent's house as soon as i could (age 19).

  i would see them maybe one or two times a year for the next ten years.

  when i hit thirty and got married it was even less frequent.

  Theists, why does God allow suffering..

  ..specifically, the suffering of animals.

  you can talk about free will/sin/people choosing to not listen to god etc to explain human suffering being allowed.. but how can you love a god that allows animals, that haven't sinned or chosen to not have anything to do with god, to have their short lives ended in often long, drawn out, painful ways.

  i could list stories i've read that would probably make you feel ill, but i'm not looking to shock anyone or start an emotional debate.

  Thanks for your honesty. It does indeed suck, and I can't see how anyone can reconcile the idea of a God that allows animals to suffer, and yet is loving and merciful at the same time.

  I cant do that, the above.

  I don't see him as being merciful in the present moment, if at all.

  Should Pot Be Legalized?

  i don't smoke anything but i know many that do--- some frequently, most infrequently.. personally, i don't see much difference between drinking alcohol and pot use.. should pot be legalized?.

  And I support legislation and groups that are trying to furhter the agenda.

  But we are against big money here in Florida.

  At 62, I give myself an 8.

  I still have to fight off the 20 year olds.

  If I wasn't fighting off so many 20-40 year olds

  I would say 6.

  If you read my post.

  I said, I know this is not an award winning answer. I only give it 5.1 on a scale of 10.

  And at 62 years of age turning over rocks looking for answers, it is the best I can do.

  Animal suffering sucks.

  I am not aware of a better answer.

  If you take more comfort in believing there is no God, then comfort to you.

  It al sucks.

  There might not be any God and this life may be all there is

  which also sucks.

  because I am haviing a good time and I don't want to leave.

  Information that I recieved from talking to bible believing ministers at my job at the county jail.

  Everyone owes God one death.

  Life can decide to go into the darkness or the light after the one death.

  The pain and suffering in this world is mind numbing,

  Its terribel to observe and be aware of.

  One way I deal with it is

  "Everyone owes God one death"

  and we can decide if we go into the light or the darkness.

  The darkness is seperation from God.

  I know this is not an award winning response.

  On a scale of 1-10, I give it a 5.1

  But in my personal economy and the way I see life, I give the idea of no God a 4.9

  My scales are slightly tilted towards God,

  I do wish things were better for everyone.
